The Truth & The Word: Our Humble Beginnings

It all started with 11 men who strived for a sense of brotherhood and academic achievement.
As the Los Amigos Club (pictured above), they ended up creating the first fraternity west of the Mississippi River and since then, their Five Ideals have laid the foundation for all who call themselves Men of Character.
History like that means that we are always looking for ways to be our mantra "Alethia Kai Logos" (The Truth & The Word).
Currently, the letters of Alpha Kappa Lambda belong to over 44 chapters with 1278 active members.
We all joined this fraternity because we saw something that could last forever and we wanted to be apart of it. We only look to continue their legacy and create our own in the process.
With national philanthropies such as These Hands Don't Hurt and Adopt-a-School, we look to benefit our community as well.
